Official Game Rules beta
Will you be one of the players that goes all the way to the Finals, or a Judge who makes that call?Compete and prove to the world you are the best:
- By participating in a Game, participants certify that he/she has followed and will abide by the Official Game Rules, Specific games rules (if any) and the Terms of Use.
- Entering a Game: In order to enter and compete in a game, you need to register with Strutta.com. Once registered, any authorized user of the Site may submit a video entry in a Game. These persons are referred to as "Players."
- Creating a Game: Any player may create a game by entering a name for the game and uploading or embedding their own original video. This person is referred to as the "Game Creator."
- Specific Game Rules: When a new game is created, the Game Creator may enter a description or list of criteria for other players to abide by while competing. The Specific Game Rules apply only to the game in question and not the entire Site.
- One Entry Per Game: Every Player is allowed one video entry per Game, with the option to upload a new video to replace an existing entry at anytime. A Player can also enter multiple Games with the same Video. Video content not relevant to a Game may be removed from the competition.
- Winners: A winner is declared for each Game at midnight PST. The Player with the most votes per game in any 24hr period is declared the Daily Winner. All votes are then reset for each player and a new daily game begins. The results of each game appear on the Leaderboard and winning player's profile page.
- Ongoing: Games are ongoing unless otherwise specified in the Specific Games Rules. Existing video entries in a game will automatically be entered into the next consecutive game unless removed by the registered player.
- By competing in a Game, players agree to accept the decisions of the community of voters and moderators, which are final.
- Strutta reserves the right to monitor and make changes to any games to ensure fairness, and eliminate duplicity.
- Original Content: Unless otherwise noted in the Specific Game Rules, entries must only depict the original performance of a Player. Any entry or comment, which is not owned by the player, deemed inappropriate (e.g. defamatory or depicts nudity, violence or inappropriate acts, etc.) by the Strutta community, or which otherwise violates these Official Game Rules, our Privacy Policy or the Terms of Use will be removed and the Player may be disqualified.
- Invitations: Any user may invite friends to join them on Strutta. No user is permitted to send "spam," ever.
Judge and help find the best of the best:
- Voting: Any authorized user of the Site may cast one vote per game, per day for any performance or work they feel is entertaining or skillful. These users are referred to as "Judges." In order for a user's vote to officially count, he/she must have confirmed registration status with the Site by completing a basic Player registration form ("Profile").
- Follow: You can follow and support your favorite players by clicking the follow me link on an individual's profile. You will be notified when they upload new content.
- One Account, Per User: Users may not create multiple accounts for the purpose of voting more than once for an entry. Doing so will result in disqualification and some other not-so-fun stuff that is outlined in our TOU.
Keep in Mind:
View Counts: The Site keeps track of a video's total views but view counts do not determine the winner.Analytics: The Site also provides players with detailed stats to help you understand your audience. You may want to review these stats and decide how you can improve your game. For instance, if your video is 2 minutes and 30 seconds long but the stats show that viewers drop off after only 30 seconds, you may want to change your intro or shorten your video to highlight your skills and appeal to voters.
Up your Game: You may not get it right the first time around. After all, capturing your skill on video is not always an easy thing to do. But since votes are tied to players, not their videos, you can try, try again.
